Directions to Ardfern

From Glasgow: A82 A83 to Lochgilphead (approx 2 hrs)

From Lochgilphead: 17 miles north on A816 turn left onto B8002 and follow signs to Ardfern

From Oban: 23 miles south on A816, turn right onto B8002 and follow signs to Ardfern

Once you reach the village of Ardfern, Loch Craignish Cottages are clearly signposted on the left-hand side, a short distance past the Yacht centre and village store and immediately before the Galley of Lorne Hotel.

Important Note to users of SatNav systems, or online route finders.
Many route-finding systems will direct you (coming from the North) via the B840 (Loch Awe-side) road. We Strongly recommend that you do not take this road, which is single track with passing places. Although further, it is significantly quicker to continue on the A85 to Oban, then onto the A816 to Ardfern.
